In a friendly match between USA and Holland in March (2010), de Jong broke Stuart Holden's legs. And now the same story. It had only gone five minutes of the match between Manchester City and Newcastle when Nigel De Jong's horrific tackle broke Hatem Ben Arfas leg in two places.
Yesterday de Jong was thrown out of Holland's national team - and misses the European Championship qualifiers against Sweden on 12 October.- "I saw no other alternative," said coach Bert van Maarwijk according to De Telegraaf.
Well Holland still have their captain van Bommel to represent Dutch football brutality.
Van Bommel says "it is wrong to expell De Jong."
I say, de Jong should be banned from the football pitch for ever.
